Credit Union membership reflects ownership. When you join Coosa Valley Credit Union, you are a member for life.
We are a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative that exists solely for the benefit of you, our member. Membership means we return our profits to our members in the form of higher savings rates and lower loan rates. Plus, your money is federally insured to at least $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration.
Each credit union member has equal ownership in CVCU and one vote. Regardless of how much money you have on deposit, everyone is treated the same. We are also under the leadership of a volunteer Board of Directors. They are elected by and from the credit union's membership. They provide impartial leadership that is in the best interest of their fellow members.
Coosa Valley Credit Union membership is available to individuals who reside in the following 13 counties: Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Cherokee, Cobb, Dade, Floyd, Gordon, Haralson, Paulding, Polk, Walker, Whitfield. Credit union benefits are also extended to immediate family members. An immediate family member is defined as a spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, and grandchild. For the purpose of this definition, immediate family also includes stepparents, stepchildren, stepsiblings, and adoptive relationships. Selective Businesses in these counties are also eligible.
