As students prepare to head back to the classroom, Coosa Valley Credit Union is making sure teachers know they're appreciated, too.
Recently, Elizabeth Cash, Branch Manager of our Calhoun Branch, visited Adairsville Elementary School to surprise teachers with snacks and refreshments as they prepared for a new school year. With classrooms being set up and lesson plans coming together, the treats offered a small way to say "thank you" for everything educators do for our communities.
The excitement was contagious as teachers welcomed the surprise. Many shared how much they appreciated the donated snacks during one of the busiest weeks of the year. It was a simple gesture that brought plenty of smiles before students returned to campus.
Beyond the snacks, Elizabeth also had the opportunity to introduce teachers and school staff to Coosa Valley Credit Union's financial literacy resources. Educators were excited to learn about the ways CVCU can partner with local schools to help students build healthy financial habits through age-appropriate financial education.
