At Coosa Valley Credit Union, community isn't just something we talk about—it's something we actively show up for. That's why we were honored to sponsor the Cartersville High School Lady Canes basketball team, supporting not only local athletics but the students, families, and fans who make Cartersville such a special place to call home.
From cheering in the stands to stepping onto the court ourselves, our partnership with the Lady Canes was a perfect example of how deeply we value giving back and staying connected to the communities we serve across Northwest Georgia.
One of the highlights of the season was the $10,000 Half-Court Shot Challenge, proudly sponsored by Coosa Valley Credit Union. The excitement was electric as attendees purchased $1 tickets directly from the Lady Canes basketball team for a chance to compete.
Here's how it worked:
One lucky participant was selected
They completed a fast-paced basketball relay
Then, the big moment—a half-court shot for a chance to win $10,000
To make it even more fun, some of our own Coosa Valley team members suited up and joined in—proving that supporting local schools sometimes means becoming part of the game yourself.

Another unforgettable highlight came on Senior Night, when our very own Member Lending Officer, Yosha De Gannes, took center court to sing the National Anthem. In front of a large, packed crowd, Yosha delivered a beautiful and powerful performance that set the tone.

Moments like these remind us that our team members aren't just employees—they're neighbors, supporters, and active participants in the communities we serve.
Supporting the Cartersville High School Lady Canes basketball team goes far beyond putting our name on a banner. It's about:
Investing in local students and athletics
Creating memorable experiences for families and fans
Building long-lasting relationships rooted in trust and care
At Coosa Valley Credit Union, we truly love partnering with our community—whether that means sponsoring local schools, supporting events, or showing up in meaningful ways that bring people together.
We're grateful for the opportunity to support the Lady Canes and celebrate everything that makes Cartersville, Georgia such a strong and vibrant community. From the court to the crowd, nights like these are exactly why we do what we do.
